Mia Stormed up to win the 188bet.co.uk Bud Booth Mares’ Chase

JOCKEY Wayne Hutchinson came to Market Rasen Racecourse for just one ride but he made it count in the Listed 188bet.co.uk Bud Booth Mares' Chase.

The 30,000 pounds contest run over an extended three miles was won by Mia's Storm on only her second start over fences. She could be a horse to follow in this season's Listed chase programme after a convincing performance at 9-4.

Last year's winner of the race, run in honour of the racecourse's former chairman, Desert Queen was third.

Dan Skelton's horses are always to be respected and this season's leading trainer moved his haul into the 90s with two winners. Spanish-bred Nube Negra, at 15-2, took the 188Bet-sponsored Juvenile Hurdle, while even-money Pretty Reckless was victorious in the 2m3f chase, both in the hands of the trainer's brother Harry.

Leading northern rider Brian Hughes partnered 4-5 odds-on favourite Redemption Song to take the Sherwood Marquees Mares' Maiden Hurdle.

Shady Glen shined in the 1stsecuritysolutions.co.uk Handicap Chase under Kielan Woods at 4-1.

Mr Snoozy claimed the finale, the Play Casino At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle, returned at 7-2.
