Skelton Brothers Score Three Times in 65 Minutes

The Skelton brothers – trainer Dan and jockey Harry – celebrated a hat-trick of victories in just over one hour at the first Super Sunday fixture of 2018 at Market Rasen Racecourse.

The winners – price at 9-4 favourite, 8-15 favourite and 4-1 - delighted their many supporters on a day when market leaders won half of the six races at the Lincolnshire track.

Solomon Grey took the In Play At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle, Captain Chaos the Bet Now At 188Bet Novices’ Chase and Must Havea Flutter the Play Roulette At 188Bet Casino Handicap Chase.

The even-money favourite Rouergate, trained by Venetia Williams and ridden by Aidan Coleman, took the opening Enhanced Place Odds At 188Bet EBF Mares’ “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle.

The champion jump jockey Richard Johnson also got on to the score board when The Last Bridge won the finale, the 188Bet Casino Handicap Chase, at 7-1. The horse is trained by his mother, Sue.

French claiming jockey Maxime Tissier, who waited almost two years to be granted his licence to ride in Britain, celebrated a winner on board 8-1 chance Iconic Sky – trained by Lucy Wadham – in the 188Bet Daily Racing Specials Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.
