Racing report for meeting on Friday, 22nd June

Trainer Emma Lavelle admitted getting carried away at Royal Ascot as she watched one of her horses win at Market Rasen on television at the Berkshire racecourse.

Mythical Legend was backed down from 6-1 into 3-1 as the mare won the Samskip Multimodal Maiden Hurdle under jockey Adam Wedge.

The trainer-jockey brother team of Dan and Harry Skelton continued their impressive record at the Lincolnshire racecourse when 13-8 shot took the ABP Keeping Britain Trading Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Another trainer in good form at the track is Tom George and his 5-1 chance Sumkindofking won the DFDS Summer Plate Trial” Handicap Chase. The horse could very well return to the racecourse for next month’s Listed £50,000 188BET Summer Plate.

Two favourites won on Friday. Trainer Jonjo O’Neill’s State The Obvious – the 3-1 joint market leader – landed the Unifeeder Novices’ Handicap Chase, while the 1-9 odds-on shot Mister Miyagi took the ABP Humber Novices’ Chase in a match race.

Boko Fittleworth won the opening P&O Ferries Juvenile Hurdle at 11-2. While the Inter Terminals “Flying The Flag” Mares’ Handicap Hurdle went the way of 6-1 chance Mitcd.

The Don Noble Family Extravaganza includes a visit by Chase & Marshall from Paw Patrol with appearances at intervals during the afternoon, a kids’ carnival in the Lawn Enclosure, pony rides and face painting, a treasure hunt, the Don Noble Kids Races on the track, two pony races, as well as lots of other free entertainment for children.
